International Referee-Coach Joint Training Camp for London 2012 Olympic Games --> Taking this opportunity, I wish to extend my sincere congratulations to your federation for successful qualification of your country in the London 2012 Olympic Games which is only less than 5 months away. Given that the success of London 2012 Olympic Games is paramount to stay in the Olympic program as a core sport; successful completion of taekwondo competition at London 2012 Olympic Games will be not only a glory of the countries that earned a medal but also a glory of sport of taekwondo. In this respect and to assist the qualified countries in preparations, the WTF has initiated International Referee – Coach Joint Training Camp for the first time in its history for effective education and training of referees and coaches who are participating in the upcoming Olympic Games in one place. This 5-day running joint training camp will be held in Suzhou, China on June 8-12, 2012. Coaches will be requested to attend 3-days running program from June 10-12. Throughout the camp, all key information for the Olympic Games such as rules, logistics, and refereeing guidelines will be provided to the coaches. Accordingly, participation of national team coaches from all qualified MNAs is very important. More detailed information including dates and logistic matters related to your participation in this camp will be provided at the head of team meeting of 9th WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships which will take place at 14:00 on April 2 in Aida hotel, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. I wish, however, to encourage you to begin preparing trip of your national team coaches (maximum 2 coaches) to the camp from this stage to ensure your coaches are provided with sufficient information and education for coaching at the upcoming Olympic Games. Accommodation of room and board will be kindly provided by the Organizing MNA (Chinese Taekwondo Association) for 4 night’s stay, while return airfare shall be covered by each participant.
